Dayo — Accessibility Overview
Our Commitment
Dayo is built with accessibility at its core. Every screen, every interaction, and every affirmation is designed to be usable by everyone — regardless of ability, language, or preference.
Supported Accessibility Features
VoiceOver
Every element in Dayo is fully labeled for screen readers. With 52 descriptive labels and 27 contextual hints across all screens, VoiceOver users receive clear, meaningful descriptions of every button, card, and interactive element. Decorative visuals are hidden from the accessibility tree so they never interrupt navigation.
Multilingual VoiceOver
All 62 accessibility strings are localized across 8 languages:
- English
- Spanish (Español)
- Portuguese — Brazil (Português BR)
- French (Français)
- Chinese Simplified (简体中文)
- Hindi (हिन्दी)
- Arabic (العربية)
- Portuguese — Portugal (Português PT)
VoiceOver speaks in your language — not just the interface text, but every label, hint, and status description adapts to your selected language.
Voice Control
All interactive elements are properly labeled, making Dayo fully navigable with Voice Control. Say what you see to tap buttons, navigate screens, and write journal entries — hands-free.
Larger Text & Dynamic Type
Dayo respects your system text size preferences. Affirmation cards, journal entries, and interface elements scale gracefully with Dynamic Type, ensuring readability at every size.
Dark Interface
Choose between System, Light, or Dark appearance modes. Dayo’s Dark Interface reduces eye strain in low-light environments while maintaining full readability and contrast.
Differentiate Without Color
Dayo never relies on color alone to convey meaning. Status indicators, progress tracking, and interactive states are all communicated through labels, icons, and shapes alongside color.
Sufficient Contrast
Text and interactive elements maintain strong contrast ratios across both light and dark modes, ensuring readability for users with low vision or color sensitivity.
Reduced Motion
For users sensitive to motion, Dayo automatically detects the Reduce Motion system setting and replaces animations with subtle, gentle transitions — or removes them entirely. Ambient particle effects gracefully fall back to a static display.
